Interested in the review in Fish Wild about the Bloke XL50 #6 fly rod as both Josh and I have this rod.  Agree totally with Fred regarding the rod and as a novice can see a big improvement in my casting and have to say I prefer using a #7 line.  Just bought Barrio WF7 floaters to use with them.  Have to say tho didn't pay the price shown, did a swap with Mick Bell for whisky and after telling him how good the rod was he very kindly sent one for Josh with his compliments.  There are still some nice guys involved in the tackle business. :D
Zeolite had a quick try at an outing on the Earn and was impressed by it.
Fish Wild looks great and am looking forward to reading future issues.

The rod is stiff  and very powerful and will load (and cast) more easily with a #7. For shorter range anyway. I have alwyas used a #6, both WF and DT.

What I really like about the rod  is the build quality, something sadly lacking in many rods these   days. Remember that Mick is a competition caster and his idea of a #6 is probably different from we mere mortals!

Mick is a good "bloke".
