Indeed, why do you think I assumed otherwise?   I did not take offence, but I thought my comment was appropriate and mildly amusing as well.

Actually, the days when a lot of anglers showed up on the river wearing their scruffy and worn out old clothes are mostly long gone. Many, probably most,anglers nowadays will be wearing the very latest and best high tech gear they can lay their hands on. They will spend more on that than they would on a wedding suit!
