Very bright headlight

Petzl Tikka were great when they came out as for the first time head torches were small, lite and the battery lasted a long time compared to Petzl Zoom which most people already used. But the tikka couldn't match the Zoom for light or powerful beam. I have a Tikka (bought to replace the previous one left at a loch) £35 and a cheap LED one bought for about £5, Tikka about 8 years old, cheap one about 5 years old both about as good as each other, as luck would have it the Tikka has a cracked case (with out being dropped), while despite dropping the cheap one on the way home from the pub I managed to go back the next day and find the parts, put it together and it has worked well again every since.

Sounds like the technology has moved on another step, but the cost of the latest Petzl has me thinking I might try one of these Cree ones especially if I hear a few more good reviews.
