I don't know how I ever managed to dispatch a trout without one of these  :D

Seemingly Dundee fishing shops have been told to stop selling extendable batons 'for killing fish' as they are (shock) offensive weapons.

Best quote- ?It seems funny how it is an offensive weapon for any of us to carry, but almost every policeman in the country carries one.?

I've tried to pick one which was descriptive but there are loads more if you google telescopic or expandable baton.

(video won't seem to come up so have posted link)

My understanding of the vernacular would suggest that the verb "chib" implies the use of a sharp implement. In this instance (the use of a blunt instrument) "gub" would be more appropriate. An alternative would be "molicate" or "malky" (ooops, you can only have one alternative).
There you go, the benefits of a private education in one of Edinbugh's finest.
Pedantically yours.
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."
