When i was fishing in Poland i noticed that they were all using this stuff...Ive read good reviews about it and managed to buy a spool on ebay for 3quid so its not that expensive...however it dosn't appear to be found in the average tackle store. Has anyone else used it? Anyone know of a supplier in the UK?
Canny wait to test it!

Someone let me know if i can post retailers retail web sites on this forum.

For specific cases like this no problem.

I use Stroft myself mainly as a tippet on a  tapered leader when dry fly fishing on rivers. I think it is pre-stretched – hence the small diameter – BUT I am certain that while  it is great with steady pulls and dead weight it is not so good when it comes to dealing  with sudden shocks. I have been broken a few times on the take while pulling wets loch style. I have still to find anything that beats ordinary nylon's  "give" in such  cases.

Hugo Ross in Wick  sells it and also does mail order
