Iron on waterproof seam tape

As usual, with a fortnight to go I'm suddenly reminded of the leaking seam that appeared in the waders towards the end of the season.

I daresay the right thing to do would be to get them fixed professionally but I somehow can't see me getting them back before the start of the season.

I thought about giving this iron on waterproof seam tape a go.

Is it worth it?- anyone used it before?
