Help!  My new/first travel rod arrived today.
It is the fulling mill 6 piece that I posted a link to a while back.
I have a query as this being only my 3rd rod, this is a new problem i have discovered.
The overlaps on it do not completely close/touch.  There is gap of about 3/4" on every section (although about 2" is sleeved/covered).  There are dots to help line up the rings, but dont know if this is to do with the gap.

Is this normal?  I have never had a rod like this before.  Someone please tell me it is normal.

The gaps are a bit wide but gaps are normal. They will wear down in time and the gap will get smaller. Don't force them down or you will split the blank!!!
Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.

Awesome, thanks for the quick responses.  Think i'll maybe go and try it out now.
Thought it be ok, seeing as all the gaps were pretty uniform, but thought i'd better check.
