On the evidence of recent posts, a team of Peter Ross's is all you will need!  :crap
Joking apart, some cranefly (daddy long legs) imitations might be worth a try in August.
Assynt is not my patch, I am sure wiser heads will advise.
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

If the fish are on top I like to have a hopper on the tail and either a CDC buzzer or spider on the bob.

Other flies I wouldn't be without are: muddler, pink tailed hare's ear nymph and sparklers.
There's nocht sae sober as a man blin drunk.
I maun hae goat an unco bellyfu'

Loch Ordie as a top dropper if you're fishing wets
If you're fishing dries then its;
Sedgehog or Deer hair sedge #8-12 (Dark claret, hares-ear and bright green bodies)
Deer Hair Emerger in #10 - 14 (Olive body for mayfly, otherwise hares-ear and black/dark claret)
