To my mind a kelly kettle is a bit of a luxury, I like the idea but have gotten on fine with my trangia kettle and either just the burner or a few twigs placed between 3 stones with the kettle on top, if I wan't to travel light, and even the full set is a doddle to carry plus it's way more flexible. Don't get me wrong about KK's, they wink at me and so I'll likely succumb at some point. If I do, it'll likely just be used to improve my standing with her who's occasionally in doors on those occasions I manage to get her out doors. "Cup i tea doll"?, "Stroupoch mo' gr'aye"?  Then I'd tell her I bought it just for when she came fishing, in fact I could likely get her to buy me one on the same pretext and likely get her to carry it too, she'd love the kelly kettle ;)

I recieved the scout size kielly kettle as a present at xmas, used it once, very quick boiling time, and very compact, no use if you want to cook tho im not sure if the cooking attatchments fit to the small one.
